Do I need to use the Agent Portal?

If you've selected (or plan on selecting) the "Self-Service" option when you schedule your Text Message, you or your agents will need to use the Agent Portal to send the initial messages and manage conversations.

This guide assumes you already have a User Account with RoboCent. If you need to create an account, visit our guide by clicking the link below.

Additionally, to use the Agent Portal you must first be invited to join an Organization and assigned to the campaign. Once invited, you will receive an email confirming you have been successfully added to the campaign.
If you are not seeing any campaigns, contact your Account Administrator.

Step 1: Navigate to the Agent Portal

To access the Agent Portal, visit Alternatively, you can select the "Agent Portal" button on the bottom left of the sidebar menu in your account, or select the "Agent Portal" button next to your scheduled Text Message Campaign.

Step 2: Select "Leads" to Send the Initial Messages

The "Leads" button will be on the far right of the campaign containment box. Click this button to access the Sending page to send the initial messages.

Step 3: Send Initial Messages

When the campaign becomes active (once the Start Time on the Start Date has been reached) you will be able to send the initial messages to your contacts.
To do this, all you need to do is select the Script you would like to use on the right side of the page. Once selected, you simply need to select the "Send Message" button as many times as needed to send all the text messages to your contact list.

Step 4: Navigate to the Inbox to view Inbound Responses

Once all initial messages have been sent, you can start managing inbound responses. From the Agent Portal Homepage, select "Inbox" on the far right of the campaign containment box.

Step 5: View and Respond to Inbound Messages

Now that we have received Inbound Responses, we will want to read what people sent us. From the Inbox view, we can click on different messages from our contacts and respond in a 1-on-1 conversation with each contact.
To conversate with a contact, select their name from the "Conversations" tab on the left of the page. Once selected, you can type your response using the text box on the bottom of the page. Once you are happy with your message, select "Send Message" to send this message to the contact.
You can also use preloaded scripts by selecting it from the "Scripts" section on the right of the page. This will automatically preload the text box on the bottom of the page with the script verbiage. You can then edit the message or send it as is.
Only account administrators will be able to see all messages received. If you are accessing the Agent Portal with an Agent account, you will only be able to see messages that have been sent to you.
