Master the Agent Portal

The Heart of the RoboCent Texting Platform.

The Basics

Do I need to use the Agent Portal?

If you've selected (or plan on selecting) the "Self-Service" option when you schedule your Text Message, you or your agents will need to use the Agent Portal to send the initial messages and manage conversations.

How to Use the Agent Portal

Step 1: Navigate to the Agent Portal

To access the Agent Portal, select the Agent Portal button next to your scheduled Text Message Campaign.

To learn how to schedule a Text Message, visit our Guide -> How To: Schedule Text Message Campaign

Step 2: View Available Campaigns

In the upper left corner of the page, select the Campaign you want to view from the Dropdown Menu.

Step 3: Send Initial Messages

When the campaign becomes active (once the Start Time on the Start Date has been reached) you will be able to send the initial messages to your contacts.

To do this, all you need to do is select "Start Conversation". This will bring up a 1-on-1 conversation with the first contact in your queue.

To send a single message to the contact, select "Send". To send a single message to the contact and load the next text for the following contact, select "Send+New".

Step 4: View and Respond to Inbound Messages

At any time during the sending process you can begin managing inbound responses. On the same page you are sending the text messages, select "Inbox" on the top left of the page.

Now that we have received Inbound Responses, we will want to read what people sent us. From the Inbox view, we can click on different messages from our contacts and respond in a 1-on-1 conversation with each contact.

To conversate with a contact, select their name from the list of contacts on the left of the page. Once selected, you can type your response using the text box on the bottom of the page. Once you are happy with your message, select "Send" to send this message to that contact.

You can also use preloaded scripts by selecting it from the "Templates" section in the middle of the page, below the contacts name and phone number in the conversation window. This will automatically preload the text box on the bottom of the page with the script verbiage. You can then edit the message or send it as is.
