10DLC ALERT: As of June 1st, 2023, the Carriers have begun imposing an Unregistered Traffic Fee. If your 10DLC registration is incomplete or lacking a Campaign Verify authentication token, an additional fee of 2¢ will be applied to each text.
Before initiating the carrier review process, ensure that you've fulfilled the following fundamental criteria:
- Functional Website: Social media profiles are insufficient; your website must feature both a Privacy Policy and an SMS Disclaimer.
Failure to meet these essentials will result in an automatic rejection and an additional Unregistered Traffic Fee of 2¢ per text. Moreover, you risk carrier filtering, affecting your message deliverability.
RoboCent simplifies opt-out management, recognizing keywords like 'stop,' 'remove,' and 'unsubscribe' to honor opt-out requests. These contacts are promptly added to our internal "Do Not Contact" list, ensuring immediate compliance with their wishes.
Should a contact not use a keyword, manual opt-out is available through the Agent Portal.

In order for a contact to be opted out automatically, they must use one of the above opt-out keywords. If they do not use a keyword, you will need to manually opt-out the contact via the Agent Portal.

Carriers require an active website for your 10DLC registration. Ensure your website features:
A robust Privacy Policy isn’t merely a good practice; it's carrier-mandated. To assist, RoboCent offers a Sample Privacy Policy tailored for political campaigns and nonprofits. While this serves as a foundation, consult a legal advisor to customize it according to your jurisdiction's specific legal obligations.
For existing Privacy Policies, they must explicitly state, "We will not distribute or sell your text messaging opt-in data or associated personal information to any third parties, except when legally obliged."
Please note that while our sample policy serves as an excellent foundation, it is vital to engage an independent legal advisor to ensure that your Privacy Policy meets all specific legal obligations pertinent to your organization and jurisdiction.
If you already have a Privacy Policy, it must clearly state: "We will not distribute or sell your text messaging opt-in data, associated personal information, or your consent to any third parties, except when legally obliged to do so." This, or similar, verbiage is required by the Mobile Network Operators and will be reviewed prior to 10DLC approval.
Remember, the requirement for a Privacy Policy comes from the carriers, not RoboCent. But we're here to help you meet this requirement and build a more trustworthy and transparent organization.
If your website collects phone numbers, an SMS Disclaimer is compulsory per Mobile Network Operators’ (MNOs) guidelines. Sample wording includes:
- "I consent to receive SMS Messages from [brand name]. Message & data rates may apply. Reply 'STOP' to unsubscribe. Reply 'HELP' for help."
- "By providing your phone number, you consent to receive calls and texts, including automated ones, from [brand name]. Message & data rates may apply. Reply 'STOP' to unsubscribe. Reply 'HELP' for help."

While we offer features aimed at facilitating adherence to applicable regulations, RoboCent cannot be held accountable for any violations of local, state, or federal laws that may transpire during your P2P text messaging initiatives. Consulting with legal advisors to ensure full compliance is not just recommended, it's essential. RoboCent will not assume liability for any penalties, fines, or legal repercussions that may result from non-compliance in your P2P text messaging campaigns.
